All Maritime Security Officers are former Military personnel and qualified to ISO 28007-1:2015, industry standard to deliver exceptional operational excellence.Essential qualifications required as a Zeal Operative are:

  • Maritime Firearms Competence Certification
  • ISPS Ship Security Officer and or Maritime Security Operator
  • Standard of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers (STCW) (Parts i – iv)
  • Military Testimonial demonstrating combat experience
  • Clean Criminal Record Clearance
  • Seafarer’s Medical Fitness Certification
  • Mental Health Clearance
  • Drug & Alcohol Clearance
  • Radar competence certification

 

Essential Documentation

  • Passport
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination
  • Maritime Security experience with written references

VOYAGE RISK ASSESSMENT

Frontline and remote support in fluent piracy activity intelligence, vessel passage plan guidance, time sensitive matters and counter piracy measures are provided continuously.

COUNTER PIRACY VESSEL SECURITY AUDITING

All our Maritime Security Officers are refined in conducting an efficient vessel security audit, focusing on vulnerable points to piracy attacks and vast counter piracy measures.
